1. Eat a good breakfast – you need fuel to keep going! |
2. Arrive at school on time – five or ten minutes before 9 o’clock is best because then you have time to catch up with your friends before the school day starts. |
3. Be organised – make sure you have all you need for the day ahead. |
4. Pay attention to the teacher – if you don’t you won’t know what to do! |
5. Ask for help when you need it – don't feel you have to struggle. The teacher is there to help you. |
6. Be willing to try new ways of doing things and to work with different children – you will not only develop new skills but you will learn from each other. |
7. Do your homework early in the evening – make sure you have a quiet place to work. |
8. DON’T spend all your free time using the X-box, iPad etc. – get out in the fresh air, run around, ride your bike. Exercise stimulates brain cells! |
9. Switch of all electronic devices at least one hour before bedtime – play a board game, read a book or maybe even just talk to your family! |
10. Get a good night’s sleep – 9- 10 hours at least. Wake up feeling well rested and start at number 1 again! |
